Wie in unserem Blogeintrag vom 22.03.2018<\/a> gemeldet, wurde unsere Partnerschule, das Heinrich-von-Gagern-Gymnasium, als erste Verbraucherschule Hessens ausgezeichnet. Sie teilt sich diesen Titel mit 32 weiteren Schulen in 13 Bundesl\u00e4ndern.<\/p>\n

Am 18.05.2018, dem Tag der offiziellen Verleihung des Preises, passierte etwas, was nur bei besonderen Anl\u00e4ssen vorgesehen ist. Gleich zwei Mitglieder des Kabinetts der Hessischen Landesregierungen, n\u00e4mlich Priska Hinz (Ministerin f\u00fcr Umwelt, Klimaschutz, Landwirtschaft und Verbraucherschutz) und Prof. Dr. R. Alexander Lorz (Kultusminister) besuchten unsere Partnerschule, um der Auszeichnung durch die Verbraucherzentrale beizuwohnen.<\/p>\n

W\u00e4hrend der Reden zum Festakt wurde stets auf das besondere Angebot des bilingualen Unterrichts an der Schule hingewiesen. Gerade im Hinblick auf “globale Verbraucherbildung” konnte PolECule die unabh\u00e4ngige Kommission letztendlich \u00fcberzeugen und ma\u00dfgeblich zu dieser Auszeichnung beitragen. Bilingualer Unterricht im sozialwissenschaftlichen Bereich ist zugleich Verbraucherbildung, da die Alltagsthemen in einen globalen und weiteren Kontext eingebunden werden. Die “gro\u00dfen Themen” (Nachhaltigkeit, Handel etc.) finden besonderen Anklang. Die FAZ berichtet hier\u00fcber explizit in ihrer Ausgabe vom 21.05.2018<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Das Zusammenspiel von intellektuellen mit Alltagskompetenzen ist eines der Kernanliegen von PolECule, n\u00e4mlich die Lernenden “auf die Herausforderungen des Lebens vorzubereiten” (denn die gro\u00dfen Fragen unserer Zeit sind zugleich die Fragen des Alltags!)<\/em>, und gleichzeitig f\u00fcr die Teilhabe an den globalen Diskursen im Sinne einer demokratischen Zivilgesellschaft zu sensibilisieren. Insofern ist die Freude im Projektmanagement \u00fcber die Auszeichnung unserer Partnerschule gro\u00df, und wir gratulieren dem Heinrich-von-Gagern-Gymnasium!<\/p>\n
